Complete transformation of a 50 m² apartment in the heart of the Marais, Paris.
The clients envisioned a chic and dramatic interior, combining contemporary elegance with historical character.
Starting from an unremarkable space, the renovation led to a complete metamorphosis.
We revealed the building’s original stone walls and uncovered ancient wooden beams hidden behind a plaster ceiling.
These architectural features now anchor the design, bringing depth and authenticity to the apartment.
Materials were selected with utmost care: Bourgogne limestone in the entryway, real oak flooring, a marble kitchen, Venetian plaster walls, and a statement stove by the renowned French maker Lacanche.
Lighting played a central role in shaping the atmosphere, striking a balance between warmth and theatricality.
The layout was redesigned to include a private suite with its own bathroom, featuring a bathtub, a rain shower, and underfloor heating. Climate control systems ensure year-round comfort.
To complete the space, every decorative object was carefully sourced, with a focus on unique vintage pieces chosen to reflect the clients’ vision by @objets-meubles
